What operating system will Microsoft Courier run?

All indications currently point to Courier launching with Windows 7. The latest version of Windows, like Vista, is touch-enabled for compatible applications and hardware.

Standard Windows 7 applications will not run on Courier, to insure more control over the user experience. Courier applications must be optimized to take advantage of the touch capabilities and dual-screen configuration of the device.

Microsoft's prototype device Surface runs Windows Vista.
