Although no pricing information has surfaced, "trusted" sources have told Engadget the Microsoft Courier will launch in the second half of 2010. The device, previously rumored to be running on Windows 7, will instead use the same OS as the Pink, Zune HD, and Windows Mobile 7 Series.

Folded closed the Courier is roughly 5x7 inches, one inch thick, and weighs just over a pound. The dual-screen tablet will include the NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile web processor and use a stylus for drawing and writing. Microsoft is developing handwriting recognition software and content can be moved from web pages to personal "journal" pages.

A web site will log all changes and content entered into the Courier for remote viewing. As was revealed in the initial Gizmodo photo gallery, the device has a built-in camera for image captures. Microsoft is said to be working on its own e-book reading ecosystem to accompany the Courier and provide content.
